India Earnings - Bharti Airtel | Ringing Slowly on Earnings
Bharti Airtel : Consolidated Basis : Telecom company, Bharti Airtel, a part of Bharti Enterprises on consolidated basis announced a rise of 1.48 % in the net profit which stood at Rs 16,681.30 million for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2008. The same for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2007 stood at Rs 16,437.60 million. Total Income increased 40.18% from Rs 63867.30 million for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2007 to Rs 89527.30 million for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2008.Standalone Basis : The group reported a decline in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 0.89% to Rs 16,047.80 million from Rs 16,191.50 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 36.54% to Rs 82,743.70 million, while total income for the quarter rose 35.70% to Rs 83,028 million, when compared with the prior year period.
The company reported earnings of Rs 8.46 a share during the quarter, registering 0.82% decline over previous year period.
